Cuff the Duke began as a 4-lane project in a living room. They are now one of the best and hottest bands in Canada. Why do you have then this country is, despite the much vaunted "Canadian invasion" or anything from you? Because Germany was Canadian bands always affects about 2 years behind (see, Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire). With your crude mixture of country and India, they were the first band that was allowed to publish on Hayden Hardwood Records (by the way they were his backing band on Elk-Lake Serenade Tours). Result of this collaboration was the summer of 2005, a phenomenal self-titled 2.Album, the still somewhat immature approach ihgres debuts "Life Stories for Minimum Wages" of 2002 brings to masterful perfection. On the album there are guest performances by the way, Owen Pallett, and other members of Hidden Cameras. Mp3s Unfortunately there are only from the debut, but the overheating including "The Ballad of the Lonely Construction Worker" , and the 2nd Album can be heard on the website as a stream.
